A
small introduction
Hi,
my name's Ting, this website is about the trip to Japan me and Gav are
going on, during the summer of 2003.
How
it all started
Well,
let's start from the beginning. I first met Gavin at college (sixth form),
he was in my physics class. We were both students that the teacher kinda
picked on, not badly, but in a funny way. For instance, someone would be
talking in the lesson or something, the first name being called would be
either "Ting!" or "Gavin!". Well, we kinda talked and
started hanging out. We ended up becoming
really great friends, he's been a great friend who I'd been able to rely
on. About half way into the second year of college, we started talking
traveling and stuff. It has always been a dream of mine to go to Japan. I
then suggested we'd go to Japan, Gav kinda said, "Yeh, why not?"
After
that conversation, we both kinda thought that might not even happen,
because it was just a part of a conversation. However, we kinda looked it
up a bit, and then things slowly pieced together. We managed to find a
Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) that didn't cost a fortune, through
sheer luck. And we looked up some student flights. Now all that we need is
a bit more planning and we're jetting to Tokyo.
